Thinking of trying Scuba Diving?
What are your first thoughts when you think about scuba diving? Probably being underwater and looking at marine life.
My first diving experience was amazing. I enrolled on a PADI Open water course at Divewise, Malta (sister company of New Dimension Scuba). Learning all about safety and how to maintain yourself underwater. By continuing all the recommended courses thereafter, I became a PADI Instructor.
If you are thinking about trying scuba diving but you’re not sure if you really like it, a PADI Discover Scuba Dive is the perfect course for you. A PADI Discover Scuba Dive is not a certification but it is the experience of actual diving. If you want to become a certified diver, you will need to unroll in the PADI Open water course. During the PADI Discover Scuba Dive, you will learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. One thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater. We give our students a dive briefing that will explain how to equalize your ears (clearing your ears of pressure), what to do when you are not able to equalize, how the underworld works and Basic hand signals as we are not able to talk underwater. You can try to speak but all you will hear is a mumbling sound and it’s quite funny how students still try to talk underwater anyway. You will learn how to use your dive equipment safely and effectively. Then finally. before going into open water (12-meter max), we will conduct 4 skills in shallow water for safety reasons.
Students that enjoy the PADI Discover Scuba more than likely enroll on the Open Water Scuba Diving Course and never look back!
Thinking of becoming a certified diver now? Or diving while you are on holiday? The PADI Open Water is your first step, diving to a max depth of 18 meters. The PADI Open Water course includes 5 confined open water dives where you will practice your skills with your PADI professional. Thereafter, you will complete 4 open water dives, where you will perform your skills you have learnt during your confined open water dives. Within the PADI Open Water course, there is a theory part involved. The theory can be done online which is much easier for us and the students.
After becoming a PADI Open Water diver, you can dive all around the world, traveling to your favorite holiday destination and explore the greatness of the underwater world.
Are you interested in becoming a PADI Open water diver, but you are stuck at home because of COVID-19? Why not start with your Theory and prepare yourself before coming over to the Maltese Islands.
