PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING

Try diving and discover the wonder of the underwater world. Have you ever fancied the thought of scuba diving? Wanted to discover what it feels like to breathe underwater? Then this experience is for you.

This Try Dive Experience provides you with the opportunity to do so in a short 2-hour session, introducing you to the underwater world with a PADI Instructor.

Upon completion, you will receive an electronic certificate and can undertake further dives with your New Dimension Scuba Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters whilst on your holiday in Malta. Plus, if you decide to move on to the open water course, your Try Dive experience may be able to be used as credit towards that course.

Can I do this:

As long as you are at least 10 years old and in good health, we can take you scuba diving. Please check the medical form before booking.

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

• Online theory to learn the basics of diving
• Equipment orientation and a pre-dive briefing at our dive centre
• All equipment needed for your dive
• A dive on our house reef which includes the shallow confined skill practice before heading out further to explore for the open water dive.

What next?

After your first dive Discover Scuba Diving experience, you can complete a 2nd Discover Scuba Dive with your PADI Instructor. This can be done at another dive site to a maximum depth of 12 meters. We have lots of different dive sites to explore here in Malta such as the reef at Cirkewwa or a wreck dive on the HMS Maori.

If you want to take your diving to the next level, then the PADI Open Water Diver course is the next logical step. Successful completion will qualify you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres, all over the world, with any other certified diver - opening up a wealth of new dive sites for you to explore. 

How do I book?

Our experiences can start on every day of the week at 8.30am or 3pm. To confirm which day you would like to dive please contact our friendly team on ndsmalta@gmail.com.

Once you have confirmed your diving spot, after checking the medical form, simply pay the deposit to secure your space. We will then email you with a booking confirmation and instructions on how to access the online theory.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring with me to the dive centre?

A towel, swimwear and water/food. We will provide all the scuba diving equipment.

When do I pay the balance of the dive?

When you arrive at the dive centre – we accept card or cash. If you’d prefer to pay the full amount instead of a deposit, that is fine.

What will I do during the dive?

The first part of the dive is always shallow, we take things at your pace and practice the skills in the shallow confined area on our house reef. Once everyone is comfortable and happy with the skills we can head deeper to explore.

How many people will I dive with?

We keep our groups small, so we can focus on everyone's safety and enjoyment. We don’t have more than 3 divers with one instructor.

Can I have a pick up from my hotel?

Yes, if you are staying in St Pauls Bay, Qawra, Bugibba or Xemxija we can pick you up/drop you off free of charge at your hotel.
