What is the PADI Open Water Theory Online?
The Knowledge Development section of the PADI Open Water Diver course consists of self-study e-learning. This part of your course is designed to teach you the basic principles of scuba diving, and you will cover basic dive theory, equipment, skills and dive planning.
This allows you to complete all the theory at home in your own time and then complete your pool and open water dives at a later date, once we are able to take you diving again.
This means you get to start your underwater adventure straight away and can learn some really interesting stuff about what it’s like to scuba dive before doing it for real.
Learning to scuba dive requires both knowledge development – including facts, principles and concepts – and dive skills including techniques and methods.
The PADI Open Water Theory Online uses videos, audio, graphics and reading to help you learn, short quizzes that let you gauge your progress, and then offers a review of anything you happen to miss.
By completing the knowledge development online now, you’re ready to hit the ground running with your PADI Open Water Diver course with the theory, quizzes and videos all completed.
We will then take you diving as soon as we can!
Please note - this eLearning only covers your online theory, but also serves as a deposit for your open water dives. When bookingthe practical portion of this course, the cost of this eLearning will be deducted from your total course fee.
