PADI WRECK DIVER COURSE MALTA

Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecks intriguing to explore and exciting avenues of discovery, and usually full of aquatic life. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course here in Malta teaches you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible, and safe wreck diving.

The Fun Part

The fun part of the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty is visiting the wrecks, unlocking mysteries, and starting to gain the knowledge and experience that allows you to see things that others overlook. Sometimes, only the trained and experienced eye recognises that a small hole or open door likely caused the vessel's demise.

What do I need to start?

Be 15 years or older and have a PADI Adventure Diver/Advanced Open Water certification (or a qualifying certification from another organisation).

Before any in-water activity, you will complete a pre-dive medical form at our centre. Please check the Medical Form to see if you are fit to dive.

What will I do?

You'll learn deep dive planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, and hazards. You'll also put this knowledge to the test across four open water dives where you will learn:

  • Techniques for exploring shipwrecks and how to avoid common hazards
  • How to research and learn the background of your favourite wrecks
  • Wreck diving equipment considerations
  • Considerations and techniques for entering wrecks
  • Planning and organising under the supervision of your PADI Instructor

How long will it take?

The course takes 2 days to complete, where we practice the skills needed for safely diving on wrecks.

What is included:

  • Online theory (knowledge development)
  • All equipment rental
  • Training dives
  • Certification
  • Road transport to the dive site

We can also include free hotel pick-up and drop-off service, if required, if you are staying in the St Paul's Bay, Bugibba, Qawra, or Xemxija areas.

Combine with the Nitrox specialty

The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty is one of the most popular specialties, and it's easy to see why. It allows for longer no-decompression dives, perfect for extending your bottom time on the deeper wrecks here in Malta. This course can be easily combined with your Wreck course.

Book to secure your space:
